Description
When confronting a site that unexpectedly reveals a four-meter slope immediately after entry, the central question was not merely how to build, but rather how to live within such a condition.
Drawing inspiration from the ancient and symbolic form of the cross (Chalipa)—as an archetype of balance, centrality, and spatial distribution—allowed us to construct a network of meaningful spaces.
Within this structure, form is not limited to aesthetic expression; it functions as a framework for establishing a clear spatial hierarchy between private, semi-private, and service areas.
In this project, the cross is not simply a formal gesture, but a shared language through which function and the lived experience of the villa are articulated.
The balance between transparency and solidity,
lightness and heaviness,
stillness and movement,
all emerge along the logic of this form, shaping a cohesive relationship between space, structure, and life.
